Bottomless brunch specialist All Bar One is now just a few weeks away from opening in Newcastle’s iconic Grey Street.
The bar and restaurant which is taking shape inside what was Browns brasserie will be opening its doors to reveal its new look on September 23.
And the brand, which is known for brunches as well as lunches and cocktails, is advertising that it is All Shook Up in the run-up to the big day.
Owners Mitchells & Butlers – also owners of Browns which had been a feature on Grey Street since 2012 – decided the 19th Century building, in the city’s most prominent street, would be ideal for All Bar One: a UK-wide range of 56 venues with the 57th being a first for the North East.
Given the city centre building’s Grade ll-listed status, the re-branding is unlikely to feature any major external changes, other than to the sign so customers will have to wait until September to see its new-look interior.
The company, whose other brands include Miller & Carter; Harvester and Toby restaurants, is expect to unveil a more relaxed than formal bar-restaurant which will be open from around 8am and later in the evenings, with plans to extend hours, if approved, until 1.30am on Fridays and Saturdays.
All Bar One will be serving the likes of tapas, sharing dishes and afternoon cocktails and will also host cocktail masterclasses.
It soon will be taking bookings for hen parties, birthdays and also groups who might want to pre-book drinks and reserve a space for an after-work chill-out. And it is already busy planning its Christmas celebrations.
Revealing the opening date for its “all shining and new” and “beautiful new bar”, it also invites first customers to sign up for information on its launch event and to receive a free glass of wild strawberry and rose flavour Pip & Wild Cider. See here .
